Review: Naruko Tea Tree Shine Control & Blemish Clear Night Gelly 茶树痘痘粉刺调理晚安冻膜

Volume: 80ml
Price: RM 45
Availability: Naruko Malaysia, Watsons pharmacies

So i got this after my sis took the Olay Aquaction Sleeping Mask with her. I needed something anti acne as i ran out of tea tree oil and some light weight moisturiser too. I was also contemplating Doctorcos' Amino Acid Hybrid Sheet Free Mask Advanced‎ or Mamonde's new line of Sleeping Mask but decided to get this one as it is the cheapest out of the three. Haha.
Anyway I bought it online from 11street and got free shipping too. Perks of getting coupons haha.
ingredients list
One major improvement is the upgrade from 60ml to 80ml, without a price hike! That's super lovely :) and they finally got rid of the glass jar and changed it into a plastic tub, which makes it lightweight and travel friendly.

They also got rid of the scoop/spatula too.

Firstly when u open it you will see a plastic lid covering the gelly. And remove that the gelly is a slightly opaque, watery gel cream kind of consistency which is good for those who hates creamy products.

It smells like toothpaste with a strong mint smell, some wouldnt like it too much. To me it is okay.

It claims to hydrate and balances the oil water ratio for oily skin and prevents clogged pores. In the formulation they included salicylic acid which functions to unclog pores. Major like for comedone prone skin like mine.
before & after
I use it day or night as a moisturiser/ mask. I find that it is not hydrating enough for dry skin like mine so my nose will peel if i use this alone. I normally pair it together with an anti aging serum or some hydrating toner for those drier spots. I reckon it would be sufficient for those with oily skin or extremely oily skin.

It doesn't clog pores nor cause acne. It does pretty well in calming my sometimes irritated skin. As for its anti acne claim, I cannot prove it as i don't have any zits for me to test on (getting old ok). However it prevents new acne from forming on my face especially after extraction.

Packaging: 4.5/5 major upgrade from glass to plastic but im sure it can be a tad more hygienic with a tube or pump design.

Smell: 3/5 not for everyone although i kinda like its sharp mint scent. Wakes your nose up haha

Moisturising: 3.8/5 enough for oily skin but not dry skin.

Effect: 4.2/5 does what it claims, good for regulating oils on my skin. Should be good for bacteria caused acne too. I think it has pretty good anti bacterial properties.

Overall: 4/5 value for money, great moisturiser/ sleeping mask for oily or acne prone skin. Good for comedone prone skin like mine too. Not moisturising enough for dry skin though. Has a very sharp scent too.
