I got this for my brother who has a thick layer of dead skin cells which he is always lazy to get rid of so i thought this would be good for him to manage those dead skin cells and reduce clogged pores.
Image from BeautyNetKorea, looks so promising |
On the description page it has several black coloured food ingredients of which I had a pretty good impression of. Looks like superfoods in a toner. Haha. It has extracts of black fermented garlic, black soybean and black sesame etc.
Ingredients list in Korean |
I didn't like the smell at first and I'm still not fond of it today. It smells a tad artificial, floral kind of scent which is not my cup of tea.
The toner is transparent, watery with a hint of slipperiness. I have tried using it with cotton pads and patting on the skin.
I find that using cotton pads may be better because it exfoliates better this way. It is quite moisturising for a toner in my opinion.
Left: toner smeared on skin; Right: Toner absorbed |
Given the powerful ingredients listed on the description image, I find that it doesn't really deliver its promise. It is moisturising but doesn't really exfoliates the skin which is what I'm looking for.
Packaging: 3.5/5 Plain but functional
Smell: 2.8/5 Not my cup of tea, quite heavily fragranced. There's fragrance in the Korean ingredients list.
Moistness: 4/5 Very moisturising given that it is supposed to exfoliate and clean up your skin.
Overall: 3/5 Average kind of toner. I normally use this after a mild cleanser or soak the cotton pads for some mask session.
Well, i think you should try Secret Key Black Out Minimizing Pack and Clean Remover too before you pat this toner. It'll give you the better result
ReplyDeleteClay packs kinda dry out my skin :( anyway thanks for the advice :)
Delete1 for smell, well this is enough for me to make decision aout should I buy it or not and for sure my decision is no. As I prefer having tonic with good smell
ReplyDeleteClay mask is very good for skin and product which are rich with it are good for oily skin. I think its a good toner also. But fragrance matters alot. If a product smells you might not opt for it. Though some herbal products also smell bad.
