Shopping at Houses Lightings Puchong

I went there on a Sunday. It was pretty crowded when I first arrived and turned into a massively crowded pasar malam scene after 1.5 hours. You will be basically rubbing shoulders with other shoppers (literally).

Lighting selections are not bad, of course, the prices range from low to high depending on the size & design. Some designs available here are also sold on taobao. But I guess buying local gives you peace of mind, since shipping and handling can be a real headache especially for fragile goods like light bulbs. Oh and the lightings purchased here comes with a 1-year warranty! (1-to-1 exchange or refund i'm not too sure)

Other than downlights, standing lamps, chandeliers, ceiling lights, wall lights etc, they also sell doorbells, garden/outdoor lightings, fans, bathroom/kitchen stainless steel racks (small selection) & alarm i think (i heard them go off for no reason a few times during my trip there)

Since I’m looking for basic budget lightings, I opted for those cheaper ones with value for money lol.
Ceiling light 45W LED RM 39/pc
Ceiling light 25W LED RM 26/pc
Hanging light RM 25 + RM 59/pc
Wall light RM 28 + RM 39/pc
Total spending was RM 10xx.

When I went in, we were sporadically assisted due to the huge crowd. Once we decided on the designs, we called up one of the yellow shirt guys to place order for us. For those light fixtures (no bulb), you can also place order for the bulbs at the same time. He will then check their warehouse for stock availability and then inform you if something is OOS.

One of the wall light was OOS so we had to decide on a replacement. Alas that was also OOS. Finally we chose the final one. Not my cup of tea, yea. (Make sure your shopping partner has the same taste as you lol)

The guys will then get your items from the warehouse in no time and you will then be called to check your items 1 by 1, for defects & whatnot.

This is by far, the longest segment of the whole shopping trip. Your item will be taken out and checked, afterwards it will be marked with ur call number on the box and moved towards the entrance.

Then you will be pointed to the payment counter to pay. Once done, you can pick up your stuff and go back home!

It was quite chaotic inside but the staffs work together well to ensure fast service (Imagine a company with heavy office politics – everyone taichis. No job will get done until past the deadline!!).

Also, I do think that LH must be paid well. The workload is very tiring and exhausting. Even lady staff has to transport the goods across the shopfloor!

Do not come if you can't stand crowds though, for sure you'll get a headache with all the noise and people rushing through.

Review Naruko Rose HA Aqua Cubic Foam Cleanser EX

Weight  :150gm
Price      : RM 29 ish
I bought this from: I got this during Hermo's anniversary sale last year i think

I had really high hopes for this because of its claims. Moisture! Plant extracts! Non-tightening after wash! And most importantly, I was looking forward to the smell.

True enough, the smell is glorious. However, with my prev experience with Naruko, the smell will deteriorate over time. True enough, the smell started to tone down after 2 weeks' use.

The paste is pearly white. Which according to my experience, it means the cleanser has a high possibility to be drying and leaving that squeaky feeling after wash. True enough, it left my skin feeling squeaky after washing.

What's weird with this cleanser is how my skin feels after a wash. Sometimes I feel that it doesn't clean my skin thoroughly, albeit leaving my face feeling tight. After a few experimentations, I found that rubbing the paste directly onto my wet face (around 1.5cm long) and slowly rubbing in circles and adding water makes my after wash face feeling most moisturised and clean. Weird huh.

According to Reddit's AB community, this cleanser has a PH of 8 to 10 (!) PH aside, I find that it actually improves my skin condition. Less dryness, healthier skin with each wash. I feel that it inhibits pimple growth slightly. I could be wrong tho.

Overall speaking, this cleanser smells great, however, this cleanser requires a bit of tweaking on the usage to leave my skin properly washed. For this point, I really hope that they can make it in a lower ph version. My skin doesnt really agree with foam cleanser that much.

Packaging : 5/5 no frills & it looks pretty in pink

Review : Funcare Ido AC-11 Recovery Lotion 120ml

Volume: 120 ml
Price : I got this in a clearance sale on iqueen.my, it was RM 10 - RM 19.90 per bottle

I wanted a first serum/lotion and went ahead and bought this. I had problematic skin when I first used this. Random zits and rough skin texture which was looking dull all the time.

I ended up liking the first bottle so much, I went back and bought 3 more.

The lotion feels slightly thicker than Hada Labo's Gokujyun lotion but it absorbs super fast, leaving no tacky or sticky feeling behind. The lotion helps stabilizes and strengthens my skin against recurring zits and help keeping flakes at bay. I also felt my skin is able to heal itself faster after using this.

It is not fragranced and does not irritate my skin.

In the box it came with a leaflet detailing research on their ingredient AC-11 and its efficacies. Certainly interesting. The bottle is a pump bottle which is very convenient!

Ingredients list (taken from their official website) : Pure water、Glycerin、Carbomer、Sodium Hyaluronate、Sodium PCA、Rose Damascena、Matricaria Chamomilla Extract、Biosaccharide Gum-1、Peucedanum Ostruthium Leaf Extract、Xanthan Gum、Polysorbate 20、Phenoxyethanol、Triethanolamine、Mica、Propanediol、Evodia Rutaecarpa Fruit Extract、 Butylene Glycol、 Alteromonas Exopolysaccharide Extract、Vibrio Exopolysaccharide Extract、C1-8 Alkyl Tetrahydroxycyclohexanoate Maltodextrin

A run through cosDNA shows some ingredients' safety rating at 3/4/5.

Review : Eversoft Skinz Youth Recall Hydrating Toning Lotion

Volume :100ml
Price : less than RM 20
Bought this from : guardian or watsons, can't remember

Been looking for a hydrating toner to use after cleansing for daytime because my skin was oily AF when it reaches 5-6pm

Tested this out at my local pharmacy store and decided to pick this up cuz the texture feels good and promising although the smell was too much for me.

It claims to contain super hyaluronic acid, provides instant 2x hydration and softening effect that last for 24 hours. Also claims to optimise the benefits of your moisturizer.

The bottle is classy with all that red and metallic cap finish, and dispenses the product through the hole on top.

The lotion is slightly goopy, translucent gel like lotion and smoothes out pretty well. only gripe is that it leaves a sticky finish, which i feel is kinda too much for daytime use.

Effect wise, it does moisturise, however also left me with much oilier skin than i anticipated.

It smells too strong, like 2x concentrated artificial floral smell. Also, i noticed that it clogs my pores after a few uses.

Currently i'm using it as a body lotion. And it defo works better that way.

Review : Daiso Eyebrow Pencil (Spin type)

Hello lovelies! I own quite a fair bit of cosmetics from Daiso, namely their eyeliner, mascara and brush & puff cleansers.

I got this mainly for the spoolie, as I lost my spoolie somewhere and I'm terrible at drawing eyebrows. Hence the spoolie.

Anyways, the pencil looks like this:

Oblong shaped, and easy to draw. I think they do have another color in black.

The spoolie bristles are kinda soft and defo not harsh on my brows in any way.
before
after drawing my brows + spoolie

I do notice that my brows do not last as long as my old brow pencil, also from Daiso. About 50% fades away after 8-10 hours work. Nevertheless it is a great buy at RM 5.

Color payoff : 4/5
Lasting : 3/5
Price : 5/5
