August/ September Hauls + Empties

Hola lovelies~

This is what I've bought in August!
free gifts on the bottom woot! sheet masks and sample sachets

Hauls from iqueen.my and Secret Key!

I've bought a foam cleanser in a pump, cleansing water (both from Coni Beauty), KYL Cucumber acne gel and two boxes of paper masks (MBD and My Scheming) from iqueen.my. It's fast becoming my favourite site to purchase masks woot.

And two bottles of toner and an acne control mist for my younger brother from Secret Key. Woot. Review for the Black Out Pore Clean Toner is out!

Just recently I bought a curler/straightener which is a knockoff of Babyliss Ipro230. Arrived in the mail after 4 days from China. Isn't that super fast? I got this at RM40 ish.

Anyway I've been exploring on how to style my tresses. Oh gosh it's so hard. And then i saw Youtube videos where hairstylists use straighteners to do both jobs on their own hair and I'm like holy smokes, how do they do it? I can't see the hair on the back of my head and I'm super scared of accidentally scalding my scalp or something hahaha.

And a #MyCyberSale haul from Iqueen.my
free gifts on the right side yo! Thanks Iqueen~

Please. Kill. Me.

Yes, I know I've been a bad girl.

That aside, things were super cheap during the sale and I've spent enough to get their free mystery gift box hohohoho.

I got meself Oseque's Cybershine Oxygen Mask, Showking Mascara, masks from My Scheming (again! I'm loving this brand actually!), a foam cleanser from My Scheming (for my bro) and a moisture gel from Berrisom. The gifts were a truckload of masks, a full size snail lotion from Coni Beauty (I was hoping to get the gel mask tho) and some sachet samples!!

Anyways, am TRYING not to open these until I've cleared all the old products that I have~ Maybe it'll be around half a year sob sob. But I have itchy fingers.... so ya'll prolly will see me reviewing some of these in the near future *looks away (I've already opened the mask cleanser and the mascara lol)

I've been working damn hard to get rid of products that are nearing expiry or products that I don't really enjoy so that my dressing table/bathroom become tidier haha

Empties (No pictures cuz I chucked the empty containers into the recycling station lolol) :
Klairs Soothing Preparation Toner
-finally! This toner was kinda meh for me. It doesn't provide me exceptional results with its long and impressive list of ingredients =.=

Bio essence Deep Cleanser
-not really impressive and i'm not really comfortable with its smell so I've been wanting to finish this asap and now finallyyyy it is empty!

Teen's Nature AC Control Recipe Clearing Toner
-My brother is too lazy and I ended up using this up hahaha. The gel lotion is almost empty too

NARUKO Raw Job's Tear Supercritical CO2 Pore minimizing & Brightening Lotion
-I got 2 small bottles of this and they are finally empty~ woohoo!

Mizon Vichum Renewing Energizing Cream
-Major like for its nice smelling buttery texture! At the last 5ml or something it oxidised and turned into a vaseline like yellowish gel. O.O And I had to use it on my body sob sob.

I'm gonna work on clearing the 813549735940 sample sachets I have next. Let's just hope my face doesn't rot hahaha!

ciao!

Review: Teen's Nature AC Control Recipe Clearing Toner

Volume: 120ml
Price: ~RM27
Description:(from ibuybeauti) It gives excellent effect at skin calming for minimizing redness of skin. Also it relieves skin troubles by minimizing excessive sebum

Ingredients:
tn is a brand endorsed by Kim So Hyun, a popular child actress from Korea. I purchased both the toner and the lotion for my teenage brother :)

I tried using both of them to present you all a brief first impression on them. You should take this review as something of an introductory writing.

Packaging: Super cute. It has a 3D leaf on the screw cap which shows the attention to detail design, and the bottle is a sturdy plastic bottle and won't break easily even if you accidentally dropped it on the floor.
Smell: Faint floral smell which did not smell fake (you know those perfumes). I am assuming it has lots of flowery plant extracts inside but I could be wrong.

First Impression: I used the toner on cotton pads after cleansing. It did not sting my skin, nor dry out my skin (I have dry skin). It just clears the excessive oils and regulated the sebum producing mechanism of my skin. I feel that my skin became cleaner and moist. It is more on calming than sanitizing. So I wouldn't say that it will work on extremely oily skin. But I can say it is a good product because it did not sting like most toners would on my skin.
The good: mild, does not sting, regulates sebum

The bad: not suited for extremely oily skin

(from the box):

tn has very cute product design catered to teens and this one is no exception. I bought the AC line toner and lotion set for my brother which I wrote here. I am back at home for a few days so I managed to photograph the cute cute products!
I tried using both of them to present you all a brief first impression on them. You should take this review as something of an introductory writing.
Packaging: No doubt the loveliest, cutest product packaging for teenagers I have ever come across. Back in my time (which is 2003-2004), acne clearing products have such a boring appearance that did not leave any lasting impression on me. Kids nowadays are so blessed with choices. Anyway, the lotion is housed in a sturdy plastic pump bottle that is easy to use.
Smell: Heavenly and so so so relaxing. Not a whiff of antiseptic/tea tree/die germs die smell.

First Impression: The lotion is in whitish gel cream form which glides on smoothly on my face and absorbs readily into my skin, leaving it fresh and moisturised. It is not harsh on the skin at all, which is a big plus point since I am absolutely against those harsh acne clearing products.

The good: Smells good, nice packaging, okay price

a little something for my brother

I have always been the resident skincare consultant/purchaser in my family, and I am responsible to provide solutions/products which will help curb skin problems in my family.

So recently I have been tasked by my 13 y/o brother to help him find something that will stop his oils! Okay, this is pretty tricky as: he's been using sulwhasoo's herbal soap, and snail gel creams (Eanvie and Mizon) plus several  random masks and cleansing tools thrown in. I put a lot of effort to make sure that he doesn't have to deal with zits during his teenage years like his three older sisters did (and with no guidance, omg!)

Butttttt, he suddenly has breakouts and really oily skin recently. He's a bit lazy with hygiene and I will have to nag him to cleanse his face properly.

Now that he wanted something to curb his oiliness, and something that suits a boy's skin, I'm clueless!

So I have been searching high and low on Qoo10 to find that perfect thing for him. I'm torn between The Face Shop's Herb and Relief Homme line, Innisfree's Jeju Volcanic line, Secret Key's toners, Nature Republic's Vita Pore Zero line....

and this!

TN (Teen's Nature) really caught my eyes with their cute and fresh packaging!

hmm, as a matter of fact, there are like less than 5 reviews about TN's products in English. Well I moved to Naver and bam! There's a lot of users posting about TN and the reviews on shopping sites seem promising too. If the Koreans love it, I think it should be fine!

From the product pictures below, it's for teens with sensitive skin. And they have the pink (moisturising), blue (combination) and the green (acne/problematic)lines available. I found on Gmarket that they also have the Boyfriend line (I think it's specifically for teenboys) and the Brightening line.
Okay, I'm buying the toner + emulsion and they better be good!

+ I want a BB cream!
