Review: Etude House Every Month Cleansing Cream Soft & Moist

Volume: 180ml
Price: USD 6.80
Description: This cleansing cream removes impurities you usually cannot remove when you're busy, containing 12 kinds of moist ingredients.

ingredients list

I was looking for a cleansing cream... Well the truth is I was itching to buy stuff. Hahaha! I wanted to try a cleansing cream as I am fickle like that. Want to try this and that all the time. I was alternating between The Face Shop's Herb Day Cleansing Cream or Etude House's as the price is almost the same. In the end I went for this because 1)it is 30ml more 2)It is a squeeze tube not tub 3)It has a lot of plant extracts/oils (12 of them to be exact)

It arrived in the mail after 2 weeks and iI simply love the packaging. Simple and cute! It's also a plus when there's English description, directions and also ingredients list print on the tube! Very helpful.
The tube is sealed with a foil so it's always fresh when you open it~ And it smells really good! Something between floral and perfume?

The cream is white and it is quite solid but glides very well on my skin. It isn't the best makeup remover out there, so you can look elsewhere if you are aiming for a high performance remover.
cleansing test time!

after: see that lip tint? it's still there!

I tested it on my hand with swatches of bb cushion, lip tint and a cream pact base makeup and it doesn't remove the tint. 50% of it is still there.  I feel that this is better as a massage cream, but no harm if you only use it to remove light makeup. I always double cleanse afterwards so it doesn't bother me that much.

This cleansing cream is very moist! The instructions said to wash off with warm water or use cotton pads to wife it off. But there is still a thin "creamy" feel so I guess double cleansing is the way to go afterwards. Even after that my skin feels so moisturised! Da yum.

Packaging: 5/5 Hygienic squeeze tube

Cleansing power : 2.5/5 Not for heavy makeup.

Price: 4.5/5 Cheap and good

Smell:4/5 Very nice smelling. Hmm~~

Overall: 4/5 nice smelling massage cream. Very moisturising. I recommend this for people who has little to no makeup on/doesn't mind strong smelling products/very dry to normal skin

Mini Review: Etude House Precious Mineral Cotton Fit BB Cream #W13

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Volume: 1ml (sample)
I wanted to try Etude House's Cotton Fit BB because it has a matte finish and Etude House's Precious Minerals BB cream sells like hot cakes on Qoo10. I like the dewy finish of bb creams, but sometimes when it is hot and humid and your face gets oily to the point that the dewiness becomes uncomfortable, I'd been wanting something that is not dewy nor matte (something in between), doesn't accentuate fine lines, and doesn't clog pores.
I have a sample sachet of this one and the Bright Fit one so today I went ahead and tested the cotton fit one.
Please bear in mind that I have dry skin, so this is review might not be accurate for oily skin guys/gals.
The colour looks a bit orange in real life
I drew two stars- the left one for one coat, the right one for 2 coats

Pretty good concealing powers

Right after blending. Close up
After 10 minutes
Colour: 3.8/5 The colour looks really orange to me because other bb creams I have used either have pink undertones or neutral colours. After blending and settling it looks pretty natural and matches my skin tone.

Smell: 3/5 Slight floral smell.
Blending: 2.5/5 Consistency is quite thick so it is pretty hard to spread on my dry skin. I would say it needs a sponge or brush to nicely paint it on your face.
Finish: 3.5/5 Matte, sinks into fine lines around my eyes.
Coverage: 4/5 Pretty good for those with fewer blemishes
Staying power: 4.5/5 Good. Went to the beach in the morning and still pretty much intact after 9 hours.

Oil control: 3.8/5 I think it is okay- good. Not much oil except on my nose and cheeks

Review: Etude House Ice Cream Nails (#BR401) & Look At My Nails (#OR202)

Price: RM 4.10 each with free shipping
Availability: Etude House
I bought these on Qoo10 when they were on sale. My sister bought the yellow and lime Ice Cream Nails from Korea in July but I thought the colors weren't very easy to apply. I had to layer to create a polished effect.
So when the polishes arrived I didn't put my hopes up. Since I don't have a base coat nor a top coat with me, I just applied the polishes on my bare nails. Surprisingly the colours were so easy to apply. I only need one coat of Ice Cream nails for the perfect nude nails look.

And the Look at My Nails colour is so cute! looks so pudding like :) And smooth application too. I had them on for two weeks and they didn't chip! Wow. Even without a top coat and I was busy doing housechores at home. However this colour needs 2 coats at least for a completed look.
I saw Etude House released a new Play Nail Series but I will have to wait till the price goes down a bit hahaha! And my sister has too many nail colours at home so I haven't got a solid reason to splurge on that ;P

The good: Staying power, cheap price, wonderful colour choices, fast drying, good results even without base and top coat

The bad: nothing

Review : Etude House Peel Off Base Coat

Price: 2000 won
I first saw this on Qoo10 which made me go 'OMG I want this!' and asked my sister to get this for me from Korea.

So what's so special about this base coat? It claims to require no nail polish remover to remove, you can just peel off the entire coat of blings and whatnot off your fingernail! Sounds interesting, aye? Imagine the time and frustrations you can save without having to rub and rub the hard to remove blings on your nail.
The bottle has a bib with the instructions on how to use it. pretty cute and handy.

My first impression:
The base coat is thicker than most base coats. It looks slimish, and the colour is like rice water. The base coat needs longer time to dry compared to OPI's base coat.
The nail polish afterwards glides on smoothly without glitch, that's very nice. I would've thought there would be bumps here and there.
After a few days: There seem to be air bubbles underneath the colour! I tried peeling it off, and it did come off nicely, just a few accidental tears on the side. Looks like nail stickers!
The shortcoming: IT IS NOT WATERPROOF. That's why it works like glue, which enables anything on top to come off in whole. Also, wear time is reduced to 3-4 days before the bubbles appear (if you do a lot of housechores involving water).

A tip for those who wants it to last longer: Apply a thinner coat and make sure it is fully covered by your nailcolour, it lasted me a good 1 month! (w/o frequent house cleaning lol) After that I just scrapped it off, haha!
The good: cheap if you can buy in Korea, fun, nice if you don't like using removers

The bad: staying time is short

Review: Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint in PK001 Cherry Pink

Weight: 9g
Price: I got this at RM14.40 inclusive of shipping
Description: Tint promotes moist & shiny cherry lips with a creamy, smooth texture.
This tint was my sister's purchase. She used the sample size of this tint and decided to buy the full size in the same colour, too!

Etude House has 4 different colours for Fresh Cherry Tint.

The packaging follows Etude House's cute concept with a dreamy pink bottle which is easy to carry around, and is about the same size as a lipstick!
The box and the tint, it's very cute!

The applicator is pink in colour and the tint is a creamy baby pink.

The tint will dry and fade into a lighter colour for a subtle, barely there look.
This is my sister's bare lips.

Right after applying. This PK001 colour suits people who wants a healthier look as it adds some colour to your lips without being a statement. The tint stays on for 2-3 hours and may need reapplication.

This tint is not as drying as Peripera's tint, but it can be a little bit drying. I recommend the use of lip balm to reduce lip dryness.
The good: Cute packaging, easy to carry around, cheap, easy to apply

The bad: a little drying

NOTD Review: Etude House Juicy Cocktail Gradiation Nails #2 Kiss of Fire

Volume: 4ml x 3
Price: I got mine at RM 10.30 with FREE shipping! Can you believe that?
Description:

So this colour was chosen because the mint frappe and the purple one was out of stock. Anyway, back to the review.
The trio of nail colours came in a petite pink box which has minimal but understandable English instructions.
I remember Etude House nail  polishes as cute, fast drying with a wide variety of colours and this one is no exception.
This time I used all of the colours provided in the kit and also OPI's base and topcoat.
From left #1, #2, #3, OPI Base, Top coat
As per the instructions, you should layer #1 all over your nail followed by #2 starting from the middle of your nail. Now as #2 is quite thick, I suggest that you should not soak the brush with too much of the polish and press as hard as you can on your nail so that the brush opens widely and the colour comes out even and nice on your nail.

#3 was tricky. I find that the shimmery bits was a tad too big, it will be better if it's smaller. And it was super hard to get the shiny bits to stick on my nails -.-
Onto the results!!!!!

Overall it gave my nails the very bling bling look, and I like it a lot. This nail colour kit will be more suitable for people with longer nails as the shimmery bits actually make your nails look short. Hahaha
The good: cheap, I love the colour

The bad: Tricky application

Review: Etude House Natural Mask (Lemon)

Volume: 23 ml

Description: Essence mask contains lemon extract that brighten and clarify skin tone. Tension fit design for improved facial adhesion and comfort.

Ingredients: Water, glycerin, lemon extract, butylene glycol, cyclopentasil-oxane, alcohol, cyclohexasiloxane, dimethiconol, polysorbate 20, squalane, acrylates.c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, paeonia suffruticosa root extract, triethanolamine, disodium EDTA, grape fruit extract, orange fruit extract, apple fruit extract, lime fruit extract, methylparaben, chlorphenesin, fragrance

Price: I got mine 5pcs @RM12

Availability: Etude House outlets nationwide, online

The mask essence reminds me of Innisfree's Acaiberry Mask, a bit slippery and white in colour. But Etude's definitely better than Innisfree's.

The mask fitting is quite good, and it smells quite okay too. The effects are pretty good for a sheet mask. My skin becomes brighter and moisturised. I like it very much! But Etude's essence needs a lot of patting to absorb into the skin.

Verdict: Nice, effective and affordable!

Review: Etude House Essence Mask Hyaluronic Acid

Weight: 23 g

Price: Around RM5.90 (?)

Availability: Etude House branches in Malaysia, or online

Description: Essence mask for skin soothing with hyaluronic acid & lily extract.

How to Use: Apply mask sheet onto face. Leave on for 15 - 20 minutes and remove.

This essence mask smells quite nice, and is easy to put on. The essence is not drippy and the mask fits nicely on my face except for the mouth part. I had to slightly move it upwards so that no mask is covering my lips.

After application, the essence doesnt absorb much into the skin. In fact it leaves a film of sticky half dried essence on my face. And the stickiness stayed on for a very very long time. As I used this at night, I didnt wash my face in the morning to put it to test. I was in an air conditioned room the whole morning. My skin doesnt feel dry at all. However, the effect wasnt long lasting. After I washed my face at noon, the effect was also washed away.

Verdict: There's better masks out there.

Review: Etude House Aloe Moistfull Soothing Gel

Etude House Aloe Moistfull Soothing Gel

Volume: 300 ml

Price: 9500 won

My sis got this for me when she went to Korea.

I like this very much. It hydrates very well and absorbs pretty quick too. This watery gel is lightly scented. It leaves your skin soft and smooth after application.

absorbed!

Although it moisturises, the effect might not last you the whole day. My nose especially feels dry after a long day in college.

To prolong the moisture level during daytime I pat in Hada Labo Gokujyun SHA Lotion before using this.

During nighttime, you can use this as a sleeping mask as it is not oily at all. I applied SANA Hadanomy lotion thinly then slap on a thick layer of this aloe gel. You can be creative and replace my SANA with your daily skincare routine ^^
