The Body Shop is also giving out their 15ml Vitamin E cream for free, all you have to do is claim their offer on Facebook and the email will be sent to your Facebook log in email. Print that email out and present it at their outlets to redeem!

Hada Labo Malaysia also sent out free samples for their SHA Lotion and I just received it on Friday~

These are good for travel! Hehehe so grab yours now :)

Mini Review: Sulwhasoo Snowise EX White Ginseng Exfoliating Gel

Volume: 5ml (Sample)
Description:
·       A Korean herbal face gel exfoliator
·       Contains White Ginseng powder to remove dead skin cells & excess sebum without irritating skin
·       Blended with White Ginseng Polysaccharides, honey & Beta Glucan extract to hydrate skin
·       Leaves skin sleek, radiant & youthful looking

Did I mention I love exfoliating/peeling gels? I got the samples from Sulwhasoo's Snowise line and I am undecided about this one.
Its texture is similar to Skinfood's Ginseng Mask Pack I reviewed 2 years ago, with white  small grains in gooey yellow gel.
While Skinfood's smells like sweet Ginseng, Sulwhasoo's smell of other herbs (bitter)  and I love the smell, where some of you may not. It is very strong but I like it.
Usage: Rub the gel on your dry, clean face and massage in circular motion. Wash off.
First time impression: I was awed by this exfoliating gel. It instantly refreshes, and brightens my skin making it look polished! No joke. The effect stayed for 2 days.
Other times using it: There was no magic anymore. My skin does look brightened and healthier, but it doesn't look polished. The effect... well it lasted for a day or less.
Exfoliating power: it is superrrrr mild and doesn't remove much dead skin cells. It is more on polishing and brightening
Suitable for: Dry skin

Price: 3.5/5 for the samples. The price I paid for this is more expensive than the Gentle Cleansing Foam but there's fewer sachets.

Mini Review: Sulwhasoo Gentle Cleansing Foam

Volume: 5ml (Sample)
Description: Mild yet effective cleansing foam formulated with traditional herbs to mildly remove impurities without tightness. This gentle foam makes a rich lather for deep cleansing.  Great Duckweed and Adlay supply moisture to your skin.
image taken from Sulwhasoo's US official site

I bought like 25 pieces of this just because I love Sulwhasoo so much! Haha.
The foam cleanser comes out almost colourless with a very calming ginseng smell+floral undertones. It doesn't foam up much like those white pastey cleansers and doesn't feel harsh too. It leaves my skin clean and protected. Texture wise,, I personally think it can be compared to Neutrogena's cleanser, but more moisturising.

Cleansing power: 3.5/5 doesn't remove CC cream. I had to double cleanse using my milk cleanser or oil remover. Suitable for those who doesn't wear makeup and lives in a lesser polluted area
Moisture: 3.8/5 doesn't leave skin feel taut/dry compared to Sulwhasoo's Herbal Soap
Scent: 5/5 Super calming and relaxing
Price: 5/5 Well, depending on whether you bought the full size or samples. As for my case, I bought their samples so I have no complaints about the price

Suitable for: Those who have dry-normal skin, those preferring a mild cleanser

[Preview] Some stuff I bought

Hey all!

Today I just received my parcel from Korea containing sample sachets from luxury skincare brands like Sulwhasoo, OHUI, Whoo! Actually I only bought some due to limited budget, and 3/4 are my sister's stuff.

So let's see what's in the parcel!
Nicely wrapped in a heavy box! Yep

The contents stacked like a hill lol

I bought Sulwhasoo's White Ginseng Exfoliating Gel, Foam Cleanser, Herbal Soaps, Whoo's CC Sun Cream and OHUI 777 Ampoule. Others are my sis' stuff. Seller gave SUM 37's SPE
So yeah, I'm pretty happy with this purchase because, I've got what I wanted :)))

I've tried the cleansing foam and the exfoliating gel, will update this blog when I have the camera back! Yay!

Sis is coming back from Korea with lots of stuff like Too Cool For School's Egg White Mousse Foam (mine!! haha), The Saem's stuff, A'pieu's makeup stuff and Etude House's nail polishes omggg. She also bought a lot of masks, to be distributed as souvenirs, haha!

2 more parcels coming this week, (I hope), one is Nature Republic's The First Hydrogel Mask (I got it at a very cheap price, not very sure if it's hydrogel or not), and a 310 thousand pore brush (my sis').

Yums.

Review: Sulwhasoo Herbal Soap

Weight: 70g (Sample)

Price: RM 50+ for 3 soaps with shipping on qoo10.my
Description: A cleansing soap made from 6-year-old red ginseng and precious herbs creates a rich lather, washing away impurities while revitalizing and leaving skin soft and supple (from Sulwhasoo's official US site here )
________________________________________________________________________________

I got this soap for my siblings, particularly my little brother who was experiencing his first ever teenage woes of breaking out :) I bought the sample size (70g) which is quite big for a sample. Hehe.
I had high hopes for this soap because Joseibi wrote on her site that this was the best facial soap she has ever used! The full sized soap should look like this:

Image taken from Sulwhasoo's official website

The soap came in a box which only had Korean printed details.

Attached was a leaflet with detailed explanation in several languages (KR, JP, EN, CH) and this was what printed on it.

The ingredients list on the right. Hmmm. colouring?
The soap smells like ginseng and other Chinese herbs and I love the smell!
The soap dissolves easily in water, therefore I keep it to dry in a container.
The soap is pretty easy to lather and produces minimal foam with short staying power.

This is before I wash my face. Pretty late at night. It was 12 hours after my morning wash. Pores, uneven skin tone etc eek :L

After I washed and towel dried my face. My face felt clean and a little tight, which is not exactly what I expected from this soap but it is bearable.

I had been using this soap for 3 weeks already and I like this soap for its mild not irritating wash. It does not cause any breakouts for me, and I am quite happy with this.
Left: before washing; Right: after washing
After putting all other skincare :)

The good: Quite long lasting, cheap for a top brand like Sulwhasoo, the smell!

The bad: I wished the soap can leave me with no tight feeling at all!!!

Review: Sulwhasoo First Care Serum

Volume: 4ml (Sample)
Price:

Sulwhasoo is a premium care brand from Amorepacific Korea. This first care serum is used immediately after washing your face to provide relieve and prepares the skin for other products. It smells of ginger, like the firming cream, and is a brownish liquid type of serum.

I find it to be very soothing! My skin felt plumper after using this, and this serum feels like it is feeding my skin with nutrients :)

I like to use it on my stressed skin and love it a lot!

This small bottle lasted around 4 uses. I recommend this to people with tired, unbalanced and dull skin.

The good: very good skin reliever, nice smell, very nutritious feeling
The bad: Priceyyy

Review: Sulwhasoo Firming Cream

Volume: 5ml
Price: Sample
Description: In Korean

Sulwhasoo is a premium care brand from Amorepacific Korea. This deluxe sample of firming cream came together with Sulwhasoo's First Care Serum (4ml) in a small paper box. It smells of ginger and has a smooth, creamy texture which glides onto my skin. As the cream is quite thick, I only use it in small amount during night time.

I coupled this firming cream with Whoo's Qi & Jin eyecream to boost its lifting effect. The lifting effect was quite noticeable. I'm not really sure on the wrinkle reducing part as I don't really notice any difference there.

The cream left my skin to be a little bit sticky but as I use this during night time, it doesn't bother me too much.

The small tub looks petite and cute, and is easy to bring around.

The good: Noticeable lifting effect, smells nice, very moisurising, good for mature skin
The bad: the full size is very expensive, a bit too thick for my preference

Edit (12/9/2013): I have recently been picking this up again and coupled the use with OHUI's 777 ampoule. So far the match is superb and I will not wake up to any residue of this cream on my face! And it makes my skin look so healthy and matte that I'm starting to like creams.  Yay!

qoo10 haul

hi, it's me again!

since all of the items i bought at qoo10 has already arrive, i will unveil them in this post! looks few but i spent quite a fortune on these!

my first parcel. eye masks on sale! actually they are fake, there's no free lunch in the world. not recommended. its cooling and fun, but if it may harm, then no thanks!
My second purchase, but arrived last. worthy buy because its volume is the same as the full size jar. the only gripe i have is, is this the real deal? (bcuz i have never used laneige water sleeping pack bought from the counter)
My most satisfying purchase. Samples from premium skincare line. it may look few, but these cost me rm100. haha! i should have bought it a day later, that's when they have coupons for puchase. damn. anyway, half of thses are for my sister. and finally i got my first ever eyecream!

As far as i remember, i have never spent money on eye creams. first, they are super expensive when you compare the volume to price ratio. eyecreams generally come in 15ml~20ml a tube, and then they cost a bomb!

i really hope i can find more sellers selling cheap samples in bulk! i dont wanna spend on packaging of full sized bottles @.@
