Review : Daiso Eyebrow Pencil (Spin type)

Hello lovelies! I own quite a fair bit of cosmetics from Daiso, namely their eyeliner, mascara and brush & puff cleansers.

I got this mainly for the spoolie, as I lost my spoolie somewhere and I'm terrible at drawing eyebrows. Hence the spoolie.

Anyways, the pencil looks like this:

 Oblong shaped, and easy to draw. I think they do have another color in black.

The spoolie bristles are kinda soft and defo not harsh on my brows in any way.

I do notice that my brows do not last as long as my old brow pencil, also from Daiso. About 50% fades away after 8-10 hours work. Nevertheless it is a great buy at RM 5.

Review: Daiso Brush and Sponge Cleanser

I cannot seem to cleanse my airpuff very well using whatever that I have at home, so I decided to buy the most affordable sponge cleanser that I know out there- which just happens to be Daiso's! Don't get me wrong, I really love Daiso :)

The bottle is a small, white bottle like a normal nail remover, and you'll have to pick out the right one as I nearly bought a feminine cleanser instead of a brush cleanser! They have the same bottle design and the cover is almost the same.

I am one quite particular with smell. This smells like weird mumbo jumbo of chemicals. It gave me throbbing migraines! (I don't have any sort of regular headaches) Oh god why.

That aside, it comes out like a gel lotion, and it is colourless. You need to use it on a dry brush/sponge and massage it in. You will instantly see that the foundation/eyeshadow etc literally disappears as it works its magic! Woohoo~ I really like the cleansing power.

Next you will need to rinse the brush/sponge that you have thoroughly. When I mean thorough, it is because I cannot afford to accidentally smell that awful smell and gave me migraine in the morning. 

And airpuffs are super hard to cleanse. It will somehow hold onto the product that you use to apply it with.

Tadah~~ Clean air puff!! Now you just need to hang it tp dry in a dry, airy place.

Smell: 0/5. Awful. Gave me headaches. I think I need to give it -10000 if I can.

Texture: 4.5/5 It eases the process of cleansing leftover makeup.

Function:4.5/5 It erases literally everything off of my normal NBR puff and eyeshadow applicator. Didn't manage to clean everything on my airpuff though.

Overall: 3/5 Get rid of the awful smell and I will give this 4.5/5!

Review: DAISO Coenzyme Q10 Mask

Ingredients: Water, glycerin, BG, ethanol, snail secretion filtrate, hydroxylethylcellulose, metylparaben, phenoxyethanol, ubiquinone, tea leaf essence, Centella asiatica extract, glycyrrhizin acid 2k, triethanolamine, carbomer, EDTA2NA, hyaluronic acid, tocophenol, fragrance (Google Translate)

I am running out of masks so I thought to try out DAISO's masks. I bought a box of the coenzyme Q10 variant, which has 3 masks in it. What really got me to buy this mask is because it contains snail secretion filtrate. And I am absolutely crazy for snail slime. The second pull factor was because it was made in Korea, not China or Vietnam (like Daiso's other beauty products are)

So how did the mask fare?

Firstly, the essence is not very thick nor runny, which is just nice for me. The mask wasn't drippy, so another plus point for that. And I don't feel sticky after using this, given that snail masks are always sticky and heavier.

The cutting fits nicely on my face, and I didn't have to fold up any parts, which also surprised me. One thing that annoys me is the scent of the mask. It is so very overpowering.

The mask's material is the usual non-woven ones you will get among paper masks, however I suspect the quality is a bit inferior to others as the fibers comes out easily. Also when I am using the mask, I kind of felt a reaaaaaaaaaaaally minimal tingling sensation (kind of because I wasn't sure if it qualified as tingling) . I guess it must be the alcohol. But it disappears after a while and I am comfortable using it after.

Packaging: 3/5 Ditch the paper box will do. Also, product description and ingredients list in English are really necessary.

Scent: 1/5 Too strong floral smell. Me no likey

Cutting: 4/5 Just nice

Effect: 3.8/5 Okay good kind of mask. Effect wise it is supposed to reduce wrinkles, but that is something you can observe only after using this for a long long time. Moisturising, good. Soothing, okay-ish. Whitening, yes my skin didn't seem so dead anymore.

Price: 3/5 Well, effect wise this is on par with those standard Korean masks you can get anywhere online. However, I did purchase Korean masks under RM1 per piece so at RM 1.67 per piece it loses out a bit. I think they can cut cost by not using cardboard box as packaging. Plus points for availability though. As cheap Korean masks are a bit hard to get by *coughexpensiveshippingQoo10cough* so I think it's good that people living near to a Daiso store can easily purchase this.

Overall: 3.5/5 Okay-good mask, just that the floral smell is so strong. I also wish they'd release a line of various ingredients.  That'll surely attract a lot of customers.

Review: Daiso Deep H Moisture Gel Hyaluronic Acid

Description: Apply proper amount of gel cream on face after washing.

The bottle is white and minimalistic in design with a screw cap. However no spatula is provided for this cream. I like the creams's texture and consistency; it is also very easy to spread out. I find it more moisturising compared to the Daiso Royal Jelly Lotion but of course, it is not moisturising enough for me if i use only a pea size. If I put more of the product, it will be enough for me.

The good: nice texture, better moisturising quality than Daiso's Royal Jelly Lotion, Cheap

The bad: parabens!

Review: Daiso Royal Jelly Lotion

Description: after facial cleansing, take a proper quantity o the product,spread it on the skin softly.

This royal jelly lotion is made by Cosmo Beauty and sold in Daiso. Since the price is damn cheap, I did not expect a miracle from this lol. The product comes in a green paper box which has no aesthetic design quality so I chucked it into the bin. The bottle however, looks cute as the colour is like rich honey. The pump nozzle is very easy to use so you can control the amount of product you want to use very well. For sensitive skin users, the product has ethanol as its second ingredient so I suggest thinking twice before getting this. Smell wise, it is unflattering and smells like...plastic?

 The lotion is transparent with a thick consistency. However it is easy to spread out. It takes a while for the product to be absorbed and it leaves a light film on my skin. For me, it doesn't have the exceptional moisturising properties promised and I will need to use other products to complete my skincare regime.

But of course, if this royal jelly lotion can beat every other brand out there in terms of moisturising qualities, the other brands can go brankrupt already.haha!

The good: cheap, cute bottle, easy to use pump, doesn't break me out

The bad: alcohol, parabens, and don't expect a miracle from this!
